The Roth Academy of Music is an established family-owned business offering private one-on-one music instruction and tutoring with a staff of over a dozen experienced instructors. We’ve been sharing our love of music with hundreds of families in the greater Lansing area since 2015. Plus, now we also offer online lessons to students located anywhere there is an internet connection. We are always accepting new students – all skill levels and all ages!
All of the teachers at Roth Academy of Music have degrees in music performance, music education, or equivalent studies in music. The current staff of of 18 teachers has over 30 music degrees between them. Among our staff we have instructors who also teach at public schools and major universities as well as have experience performing with orchestras, ensembles, bands and operas all over the world. Most important of all is that they enjoy the opportunity to share their love of music with others!

School Philosophy: Our goal is to provide students with a tailored learning plan that fits their individual goals and study pace. Goals can range from professional preparation to just playing for the pure enjoyment of it. We can provide serious classical study, supplement your school music education, prepare you for an audition/performance, or teach you your favorite popular music including pop, rock and country. No matter what your preferred music style is we will strive to make sure you also learn what you need to know to be a well-rounded musician with a strong understanding of the fundamentals of your instrument. Most importantly we hope that you have fun and love music as much as we do.
The school is founded by Brian Roth, an award winning sound designer and composer with over thirty years professional experience as an educator, musician and network television composer.
